Vivaldi's Heart

While creating art using the heart symbol, I was alternately delighted and dismayed. So much emotion in one icon.

What does the heart symbol mean?
To me it is everything love can be: passionate, distressing, elating, or comforting.

Developing a body of work that represents this complexity was the challenge I took to heart.

for the San Francisco “Hearts and Heroes” campaign of the SF General Hospital.

It sold for the maximum bid of $25,000 with all proceeds donated to the hospital.
